Our Director of Primary Market Research (PMR) will leverage their analytical, interpretive, and communication experience to derive market insights that will guide clients’ business decisions in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. In particular, the Director will perform in-depth analysis of primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative market research for delivery and presentation to clients. The Director will also play an integral role in business development and shaping the company’s culture and vision.


• Leverage problem solving skills, frameworks, and market research methodologies to derive insights and inform project team and client decision making
• Conduct comprehensive secondary market research by leveraging industry resources
• Conduct primary market research recruiting and perform project/vendor management
• Deliver market analysis and targeting, using the most innovative research methods
• Conduct quantitative research (including survey development and custom quantitative data analyses using tools like Excel, Access, online survey coding tools)
• Conduct qualitative research (including discussion guide development, telephone interviews groups with customers and stakeholders)
• Utilize and maintain comprehensive contact database to support engagement recruiting
• Synthesize and communicate results to project teams
• Derive and communicate relevant client implications and executive summaries
• Take responsibility for engagement deliverables
• Take initiative to advance market research skills, techniques and methodologies to improve the firm’s capabilities
• Play an active role in development and cultivation of junior staff team members’ skills as part of mentorship program
• Actively spearhead and pursue primary market research business development opportunities


• 10+ years experience in business development and delivery of PMR projects in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries (vendor-side experience preferred)
• Proven experience maintaining professional contacts
• Proficiency in the Microso” Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently (good work ethic, maturity, and personal initiative), as well as ability to work as member of a team
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English are REQUIRED
• Empathy, adaptability and high personal impact
• Close attention to detail and quality in all aspects of job performance
• Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks
• Ability and interest in attending scientific, medical, and industry conferences in order to conduct research (as school and company schedule allows)
• The ability to aggregate, organize, distill, and analyze relevant information to derive meaningful implications
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing project and client needs
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and manage junior and middle management staff
• Demonstrated project management skills and delivery to client’s satisfaction
